So, we're in Stockholm at a conference. On a particular Friday evening, we wandered around Sodermalm, without a reservation, thinking that getting a table in a restauant would be easy. It wasn't. We did get dinner eventually, but it was late in the evening. Seems that it was payday and everyone was out on the lash!
The following day I was ahead of the game and did some research and Nytorget 6 jumped out as a good option. We turn up at 8pm and were most impressed. I thought it was quite busy and wondered where we may sit. My fears were well founded as I'd booked the wrong day, d'oh! Friedrich (please excuse my spelling!) couldn't have been more cool and helpful. He asked us to wait a few minutes. Very soon, we were downstairs in what can only be described as a red velvet covered club from Soho in the 50's. Superb looking place, with a great vibe and music. We were not disappointed as the food, drinks and service were great. Much interest was paid towards the 'Sean Connery' sauce, which was well received. A busy and efficient restaurant with good food and exceptional service.
