We were visiting Stockholm from Scotland in December and wanted to go to a good restaurant to celebrate my birthday. I came across YOLO on an online British review and having got helpful information from YOLO staff about travelling from central Stockholm on public transport - it was very easy - we booked a table. We both chose tacos for starters, MOH taking the shrimp and my choice being the signature pork belly. Both were delicious. We then both had the venison. Coming from Scotland, venison is one of our favourites. Beautifully tender and perfectly cooked, this was excellent. We finished by sharing a traditional gingerbread house for desert. While I'm not overly keen on ginger, we wanted to try something seasonal and local. As well as looking very pretty on the plate, this was surprisingly light and enjoyable. Throughout, the staff were very helpful with excellent English. The chef was very visible plating up all evening, which was interesting to see, and came over twice to ask us how the food was. The restaurant was pretty full and there was a good atmosphere. With a glass of champagne, a glass of wine and a coffee each the cost was pretty much in line with what we would have have paid at home for a meal of this quality.
